Fall Sangria Recipes For Your Next Holiday Gathering

 

The holiday season is right around the corner! With more people entertaining smaller groups in the comfort of their own home this year, we wanted to bring you two Fall inspired sangria recipes perfect for any occasion. 


One is a red wine sangria using Pinot Nior and the other is a white wine sangria using Pinot Grigio. They both use similar yet simple ingredients which makes them easy to make on short notice. We brought some to an impromptu girls night and it was a hit! One of the ladies said we should bottle it and sell it! We just might! 😉

Red Fall Honeycrisp Apple Sangria

Ingredients

3 cinnamon sticks (plus extra for garnish)
2 honeycrisp apples, sliced or chopped
1 orange, thinly sliced 
1 standard bottle (750 ml) Pinot Nior or your preferred red wine 
1 and 3/4 cups apple cider 
1/2 cup brandy
1/4 cup orange juice
juice from 1 lemon
2 tablespoons of agave (optional)
1 cup of club soda (or ginger ale for a sweeter sangria)

Instructions


Step 1: Place the cinnamon sticks, apples, and orange slices in a large pitcher or punch bowl

Step 2: Add wine, apple cider, brandy, orange juice, and lemon juice. Stir Vigorously.

Step 3: Allow to sit in the refrigerator for 6 – 24 hours. The longer the better!

Step 4: Stir and taste. If you’d like it to be sweeter, 2 tablespoons of agave.

Step 5: When ready to serve, add the club soda or ginger ale If you’d like a cinnamon-sugar rim, moisten the rim of your glasses with a lemon wedge, and swirl it into a mixture of cinnamon and sugar. Pour in the sangria into the glass with a few pieces of fruit and garnish with a cinnamon stick, if desired.

Caramel Apple Sangria

Ingredients

1 standard size bottle (750 ml) of Pinot Grigio or your preferred white
2 and 1/2 cups apple cider
1/2 cup caramel vodka (we like Smirnoff Kissed Caramel) 
2 honey crisp apples, sliced or chopped
1 pear, sliced or chopped
2 cinnamon sticks
1 cup ginger ale

Instructions


Step 1: Place the cinnamon sticks, apples, and pear slices in a large pitcher or punch bowl

Step 2: Add wine, apple cider, and vodka. Stir Vigorously.

Step 3: Allow to sit in the refrigerator for 6 – 24 hours. The longer the better!

Step 4: Stir and taste. If you’d like it to be sweeter, 2 tablespoons of agave.
